Aura is ABCA & AKC registered and came from a small sheep ranch in Texas. She has OFA Good hips, Normal elbows and eyes, DNA clear through Optimal Selection other than carrier for EOAD.

Aura is 32-34lbs and 18” tall.

Aura is an incredibly skilled natural herder with a delightful instinct, showing remarkable responsiveness to her handler and a keen sense of group dynamics. She remains composed even in challenging situations. Our herding trainers have consistently praised her brilliance, and we have sought guidance from several trainers throughout her life as we work towards becoming trial-ready. While she's almost ready for trials, I personally need to catch up as the sheep can still trip me up, and I feel anxious in the field while our commands need improvement.

Apart from herding, we engage in various activities like trick training, obedience, and disc and agility for fun. We briefly attempted fly ball training, and although I think she'd love it, we couldn't stay consistent and are unlikely to pursue it further. She's an incredibly versatile dog who willingly embraces any activity we introduce to her.

Unfortunately, our location lacks sufficient dog sport opportunities, so our primary focus with Aura has been on Frisbee.

Being a dog trainer, we've always had many dogs around, and Aura has been a true gem when it comes to handling client dogs both inside and outside our home with grace. She possesses remarkable dog-savviness, and her assistance has proven to be invaluable in our work. When necessary, Aura fearlessly stands up to pushy, rude, or dominating dogs and has a talent for defusing tense situations. Her passive and easygoing nature makes her a delight to work with for all dogs. Adaptability comes naturally to her, having lived a life filled with ever-changing experiences. 

To me, she's the ultimate "ride or die" dog – incredibly reliable and emotionally steady. Aura is a trustworthy companion who always strives to do the right thing. Among the many dogs I've trained, none have picked up new behaviors as swiftly as she does. Her enthusiasm for tricks knows no bounds, and her favorites include wave, roll over, and leg weaves. Aura is undoubtedly an exceptional canine partner in every sense of the word.
